Artists With Autism Floral Show Exhibit
The Rhode Island Chapter of ASA and The Groden Network "Your Autism Experts" co-sponsored an exhibit at the 2009 Rhode Island Flower & Garden show. The show, which was held at the Rhode Island Convention Center on February 26-28, was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's flower show one to remember.
Artists With Autism Art Show
The Rhode Island chapter of ASA and The Groden Network also hosted an art show and wine tasting reception on June 17, 2009 at Campany & Thornton Fine Jewelry in South Kingstown, RI.
The event was a chance to get a unique glimpse at the world through the eyes of artists with autism. This compelling art show displayed work created at the Groden Network’s Art Studio by children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities. This show served as a valuable opportunity for the public to experience first-hand that these artists, regardless of their very real and difficult challenges, also have wonderful gifts to share with the rest of us.
